Backpacks and Badges

Backpacks and Badges provides children in need with the opportunity to shop alongside a Phoenix Police Officer for a new backpack and the essential school supplies they need to begin the academic year with confidence. More than a simple shopping trip, this experience fosters positive relationships between local youth and law enforcement while creating lasting memories.

Through the generous partnership of Walmart, which opens its doors to host this event, children receive the resources they need for a successful start to the school year in a fun, supportive environment.

Thanks to the continued support of our sponsors, community partners, and volunteers, 906 Foundation has given away more than 8,000 backpacks to children across the City of Phoenix over the past several years for the Back to School Program.
